Hussein
Hassoun is Executive Vice President, Five Stars International, Ltd. and serves
as a Principal Analyst.
Mr.
Hassoun served as administrator of the Planning Division, Oregon Department of
Energy. He was responsible for 20-year energy supply and demand forecasting and
technical analyses, including comprehensive residential end use analyses, and
energy program evaluations. Highly regarded for his technical and analytical
capabilities, Mr. Hassoun was asked to serve on numerous state and regional
technical advisory committees, including the group selected to review the state
General Fund forecasts.
At
Five Stars, Mr. Hassoun has completed comprehensive analyses, including the Oregon
Energy Outlook, an assessment of the volatile energy markets in 2000 and the
significance of those turbulent market conditions for Oregonians at home and at
work. In its assessment, Five Stars described the conditions leading to the
marked price increases in electricity, natural gas, and petroleum and offered
perspectives on the price and supply outlook for those resources. The Oregon
Energy Outlook was used to brief the Oregon Legislature. Mr. Hassoun also
complete technical analyses in support of other work, such as an analysis of
state motor pool fleet replacement schedules. He has also supported
administration of public purpose programs, include energy efficiency programs
for both the State of
